Part of my “Sky is Dreaming” series. This CyanoDigital Hybrid disrupts the actual river landscape, creating a vision of the dark sky, where the tiny flowers become large configurations in the dark sky to become a record of an imaginary, actively dreaming sky. These are new constellations and star configurations, embedding nature on Earth into the sky, enabling new stories and journeys into deep space. The experience is at once impossible but coalesces into a possible new experience. Julia Wolfe is a contemporary choral, orchestral, oratorio composer, co-founder of “Bang on a Can.” She took a chance on a class, “Creative Musicianship” where she entered the realm of making/building music, never looking back. Her curiosity, adventurous spirit, and drive resonates with my creative directions.
