Artist Statement:

This collection of photographs draws comparisons between classical sculpture and the modern nude. Interpretations of ancient images, heroes, kings, queens, goddesses and common folk are put next to contemporary images. There are striking similarities in poses and attitudes of people living centuries ago and modern man.

While wandering through such places as the Boboli Gardens in Florence, Ephesus and Didyma in Turkey and our own museums in Portland, Maine, Hartford, Connecticut and New York while looking at these great marble sculptures one comes to realize that maybe people have not changed that much after all in all those centuries.
